About Me

Hi my name is Izzat, I am from a small city on the Mediterranean called Latakia, so I was lucky enough to be able to play tennis all year round, and I brought that love of the sport with me across the Atlantic.

I started playing tennis when I was 6-years-old, and have participated in my national championships throughout high school and college. I lived in Atlanta (super tennis friendly city) for a couple of years where I was able to improve my tennis and help others improve their skills too. Last summer I moved to Chicago and I'm excited to keep tennis as an important part of my life.

I have Youth Coach Certifications, and am working on my UPSTA certificate.

Teaching Style

Depending on your level and your goals we can work together to get you where you want to be and learn something new after every lesson.
I like to keep it simple and not over complicate things, whether you are having trouble with your ground strokes, serve or volleys I will give you some pointers to replace bad habits with good ones.
I place a strong emphasis on technique, because not only it will improve your game, but also help you stay strong and healthy.
I can train you for tournaments, teach you the game from the very beginning, be a hitting partner, coach semi-private lessons for couples and friends, and much more.

Student Feedback

Prompt and very patient. Easy to follow with simplified instructions but great performance results. Takes time to encourage you and positive non critical feedback. Quick to point out your weaknesses and spends time till you build confidence. Overall relaxed way of learning and leaves you with good feeling and enthusiasm. Highly recommend him.
