As a top USTA nationally ranked junior player, I was recruited to play at the University of Arizona. After my freshman year I left school to tour professionally. Eight months into my career, I endured a career-ending back injury that shifted my focus to the coaching side of the game. With the importance of physical maintenance and fitness, I bring a unique combination of high-level playing experience and fitness training to the game. My passionate and patient approach allows me to thrive with players of all skill levels. I was recently featured in national fitness programs and DVDs, allowing me to keep expanding my knowledge base and tailor workout plans to help clients of all levels succeed on and off the court.
Each lesson is structured specifically to the client, with a focus on fundamentals, technique and fitness.

Zach is a great coach. He is patient and very kind to my children. Looking forward to booking more lessons.
I've had a great experience taking lessons from Zach. As a former junior player coming back to the sport after a 10 year break I was looking for an instructor who would help fine tune my shots and work on consistency, and Zach has been super helpful with this. He's clearly very knowledgeable and is able to articulate his knowledge in a way that is easy to understand. He also has an incredible eye for spotting small variations between swings and knowing how to correct them. Compared to other instructors I've had Zach seems to place much more emphasis on first mastering technique and feel, making sure the basic mechanics are right before moving on to more advanced concepts like placement and footwork. I can also recommend Zach for beginners, as my wife (who is new to tennis) recently started taking lessons with him and has improved with each lesson and seems to be really enjoying them.
Zach is excellent at teaching children. Very patient, but gets the child to focus, much more than I could do. Highly recommended.
Zach was excellent in really listening to what my goals for tennis were and helping me achieve them. He broke down the technique in a clear, digestible way so that I was really able to process and apply it. Definitely recommend him.
As a former professional athlete Zach continues to impress me with his overall patient and ability to be playful and coach all at the same time. I've have recommended him to friends and they have raved how he has developed their daughter's tennis game. If you want your child to develop confidence with proper technique and love for the game, then Zach is you man.
Zach is an amazing instructor! He is extremely knowledgable, detailed, caring and patient. My daughter is 4 1/2 and is extremely silly but that doesn't throw Zach off. He lets her be a 4 1/2 year old and always brings her back on track to her lesson. He is very encouraging and proud after a great shot and very motivating after a missed one. I am so lucky to have found him for my daughter and would recommend him to ANYONE. He's the greatest.
Zach is great with kids. Patient but firm. Keeps them focused on technique... again and again... until they get it.
Best tennis lesson ever - Zach's tips were simple and made marked improvements in my game immediately. I've had lessons at exclusive private clubs by the pros that paled in comparison to Zach. His attitude and obvious love of the game are exemplary. A true joy! He's also punctual and kind and considerate, which goes a long way in my book. I've never had a teacher like Zach before and I would highly recommend him to anyone. Top notch teacher, and a great person as well.
Zach was very thorough, detailed, and lots of fun!
