Hello, my name is Veronique. I'm a USPTA certified tennis professional, and my level of play now is between 5.5+ to 6.5+ player ( I understand the game very well- with high match IQ). I Used to dance ballet as well which helped me a lot to have a smooth and a fluid style, and a great foot work and balance. When it comes to tennis it is all about fitness, agility, stamina, endurance, mental fortitude at the critical moment of the match--- and a great technique to sustain a high level for a long period of time.
About my tennis style and teaching- you will learn any style you like that fits your game, using spin and slices as well as being eclectic or conventional ... and how to develop a technically sound serve ( the serve in tennis is one of or the most important elements if you like to be very competitive), and if you like hitting sessions only you are welcome to do just that.
Teaching philosophy is-- (based around student and teacher-centered approach): I do not like to talk much during the session( I don't over/or under coach but I give you what you need to be ) Despite-- I emphasize a lot on the technique and repetitions so you can improve in the right way, while having fun. -- and after finishing the lessons, the students will have an idea on what they need to do to become good recreational players, or advanced or professional players, and what their strengths and weaknesses are... from which they will be able to diagnose their own game.
Personal --I'm also multilingual-- graduate student (I have a minor, BA, Master ---,(and PhD is my next goal. I taught kids sports at a school( Futsal, tennis and table tennis too). I love fitness, organic food, and my favorite sport is gymnastics which is the only complete sport and most difficult to master.
Personality -*I'm very nice, caring, gentle, sincere, humble, animal lover, open minded and LGBTQ friendly, wise and patient with excellent communication skills .
I have been teaching tennis for over 8 years ; I have taught kids and adults as individuals and group lessons.
* N.B. My texting skills are not great, below average, so please be patient ( and understanding) when we communicate through texts. I'm a real classic...
Due to the corona virus outbreak- please -if you have any symptoms get tested before taking lessons and we have to avoid shaking hands or exchanging equipment, to stay on the safe side-- thank you -- be safe and see you on court .
* N.B. from tennis lessons.com:Due to recent COVID-19 developments we wanted to set some guidelines for those of you who are still teaching tennis lessons.
Do not shake hands with your student under any circumstances and keep comfortable distances away from each other
Please increase the frequency of sanitizing equipment including loaner racquets (or do not loan racquets at all)
Sanitizing hands before, after and possibly during lessons.
We encourage all coaches to closely monitor their health and well-being.
Please stay home and cancel all lessons if you, or someone in their household, are sick.
On both a personal and professional level, please follow the CDC's suggested hygiene practices to reduce the spread of the virus
Thank you and have a wonderful day and see you on court.
I stress on fitness and technique. When learning tennis, practice makes perfect. -- it is all about fluidity and agility to produce shots effortlessly without injuring yourself or muscling around the court.
1- examining your game and physical ability.
2-diagnoses and prognoses-- to see your weaknesses and strengths and what is needed to make your unique game better.
3- correcting your technique.
4- structuring plans around your style.
5- rallying at the end of the session.
6- learning while having fun.

I just had my second lesson with Veronique and besides learning so much in just my first two sessions I am having so much fun! Veronique is so skilled and knowledgeable about the game. The smallest technical adjustments have helped me immensely. I would highly recommend Veronique to beginners or advanced players looking to take their game to the next level. I'm so happy that I signed up for lessons :)
Veronique is professional and thorough. She has been an awesome tennis teacher to my 10-year-old daughter who needs a lot of encouragement when it comes to sports. Would highly recommend Veroniqe!!
Overall I had a good experience with Veronique. Had 4X1.5 hour lessons - I specifically wanted to work on my topspin backhand. Veronique was quick to identify the technical issue, and set up excellent drills to first fix and then to incorporate this into general play. And Veronique's own level of play more than good enough to give me a really good workout! Setting up lessons etc. was trouble free. I can recommend Veronique, I think especially for intermediate to advanced players.
Veronique gave me what I needed. I had a specific area I wanted to work on, and we focused on that. Veronique did not "over-coach" - identified a couple of issues with my stroke, and we then spent the lesson doing rallies/drills to fix that. It was very effective, I now feel much happier and clearer about my technique
I played tennis but became quite rusty since I've not played it for years. I took Veronique's class in the hope to improve my tennis skills.
Classes were very effective for me and Veronique had helped me improve my tennis in many ways. He is very patient and made improvements suggestions on my existing style. Along the way, he had been encouraging to me and I saw noticeable improvements from the classes!
Veronique was very professional and skilled in talking me through the proper way to hold my racquet as well as guiding my hand through to the completion of the swing. She also gave me info re obtaining a a racquet that would be a better fit for my hand.
Her patience also went a long way helping me to focus on the lesson.
Veronique is a great teacher - enthusiastic and encouraging, as well as very skilled and and with a great level of attention to detail. I started my lessons with next to no previous experience, and my lessons have focused on developing my basic techniques and introduction to the game. Each lesson I feel myself improving and I really appreciate Veronique's close attention to aiming for the highest standards of style and form right from the beginning. It's great to have little drills to practice on my own and Veronique is very patient, but also makes it very fun. I really look forward to my lessons and am quickly falling in love with tennis! I'd highly recommend Veronique as a teacher!
Great class! It was quite intense and packed with lots of advice that I still need to process and internalize. Overall, an amazing experience and great opportunity to play and enjoy tennis.
Veronique is so dedicated to the sport, great with technique and gentle with the kids. Our family has been taking lessons from her and are very much enjoying them - we are all getting so much better than what we started 3 classes ago!!
