Hi, My name is Todd. I've been playing tennis for almost 25 years. I have had the opportunity to learn from some of the world's best players (Martina Navratilova [no. 1], Pablo Arraya [no. 25}, Laurence Tieleman [no. 60] and others) and can pass that knowledge on to you. If you are a 3.0 to 4.5 player, I can help you improve your game through strokes, strategy and fitness.
Teaching Style
The goal is to make you a better tennis player by focusing on the fundamentals. This includes: grip, footwork, shoulder/hip turn, knee bend and follow-through. The details/intensity of each of these vary with level but are the key to becoming better. There are times when feeding balls from the basket is the best method, but mostly I do a lot of hitting WITH you so you learn in a real-life situation. If you are looking to get better, than I can most definitely help you.

I’ve had 12 lessons with Todd and have to say he’s the best coach you could work with. I’ve improved from every single shot hitting then back fence (or over it) to being able to dependently rally off both wings and volley. He has a talent for making information on how to improve technique, timing, and footwork digestible and easy to implement and his patience as we as knowledge of the game is unparalleled.

Intelligent, easy going, and productive approach to teaching student by first listening and understanding his needs and goals and concentrates on improvements without drastically changing the students own style. Todd really takes his time to understand the best solutions to improve your tennis game. He’s great at keeping you aware of your stance and racquet position and drills of hitting and controlling the ball.
I have signed up for 20 lessons in order to be more active and to improve my skills on the tennis court. I haven't really played tennis since high school (30 some years ago). So far after only two lessons I am gaining more knowledge and inspiration in my ability to play. Todd has an easy going approach and excellent communication skills. Great. Todd was able to get some basic fundamentals to me with easy to comprehensible instructions. Great at teaching proper footwork on baseline forehand and backhand strokes. Excellent teacher for volley techniques. Todd was great and I will try to use him on my next trip to Miami.

Yes, I can travel up to 10 miles to a tennis court in your area.
