About Me

Hi, my name is Tiana, and I’m currently a third-year student at the University of San Diego. I’ve been playing tennis for over 12 years, competing throughout high school and culminating my senior year with a CIF championship victory. Coaching has become a natural extension of my love for the game, and for the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a private coach at a tennis clinic.

Through coaching, I aim to inspire players to develop their skills, build confidence, and cultivate a lifelong appreciation for the sport. I focus on creating a supportive and engaging environment that helps players of all levels reach their full potential, whether they are just beginning or preparing for competitive play.

Teaching Style

My teaching style centers on building a strong foundation in proper technique while helping players develop consistency, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game. I work with players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners learning the basics to experienced players refining their competitive strategies.

I emphasize the importance of fundamentals, focusing on stroke mechanics, footwork, and mental toughness, while tailoring each lesson to meet the unique needs of every player. My lessons combine structured drills, live ball exercises, and match play to keep sessions both challenging and engaging.

I believe that repetition and positive reinforcement are essential to long-term growth, and I aim to create a supportive environment where players feel encouraged to take risks, learn from mistakes, and achieve their goals on and off the court.
