About Me

Hi, I’m Thomas. I started tennis at age 5 in Belgium and spent my early years competing in ITF tournaments around the world, followed by time on the professional Futures circuit. After that, I played four years of Division I college tennis in the U.S. and went on to coach in Australia, Romania, Belgium, and across the United States. I’ve worked with players of all levels—from complete beginners to Division I athletes—and of all ages, from 4 to 86.

Most recently, I was based in Los Angeles, where I was named Instructor of the Year multiple times. I stepped away from teaching for a few years to build a successful company—but I’ve realized something simple: coaching is in my blood. I’ll always want tennis to be a part of my life, and I’ve decided to return to the court in a very limited capacity.

I’m currently taking on just five students, and I won’t exceed that number.

The truth is, many coaches have never played or taught at a high level—and those who have are usually working with elite juniors or touring pros. This is a rare opportunity to get world-class coaching, even if you’re just starting out.

Expect to improve every single lesson. Expect to love the process. I promise—your tennis lesson will become the favorite part of your week.

As I only take on five students at a time, we’ll start with a phone call to discuss your tennis goals and make sure it’s the right fit for both of us.

Teaching Style

I'm very big on teaching strong fundamentals from the get-go. I think if you teach the student the proper strokes, then the results will always come as a by-product of the right mechanics. My priorities will always first be groundstrokes and serve, if you become proficient at those then you can really start playing with other people on your own and enjoy it. The more advanced the player is, the different the lesson will be. For 4.0 players and above, we will work on things like match tactics and strategy, court positioning, small tweaks to timing of the ball and even mental parts of the game. If there are glaring mechanical errors, we will address those too.

Thomas is a great coach. I am a beginner but after 1 lesson I already have better control and I am connecting with the ball. I 100%. recommend him. Thomas is really nice and very professional. My husband is a more advanced player and he helped his game as well. So happy we decided on him.

Thomas is teaching my 6 y/o daughter Mia. He is very professional, very easy to communicate with to schedule lessons, and he is a great instructor for my daughter. As a parent it's important for me to keep my kids busy in sports and other activities but of course, it's even more important that they like it and enjoy doing it. Thomas has a way of showing her all the technical aspects of basic tennis but in a very fun way so that she is constantly engaged in it. For her it was just a fun 30 minutes of playing tennis but she actually was learning so much at the same time. Highly recommend him!

I don't think you'll find somebody better than Thomas. I've tried out a lot of instructors over the past 3 years and I am relieved to be finished after finding him. He breaks things down into manageable sections and you see your game improve pretty quickly. He's easy to text about lessons, fun during them, enthusiastic about tennis and making you better. Very highly recommend. No way you'll be disappointed.

As someone who started with Thomas with no experience playing Tennis at all, I can say that he not only taught me how to play from basics to advanced techniques, but also has the unique skill of a pro who can teach and relate to anyone whatever their skill level is. Thomas is an amazing tennis instructor. Use him. Period.

Thomas is a professional to the core. But what I enjoyed most is his humanity. He makes training enjoyable and near stress free.
