About Me
Hi, my name is Steve. I am a USPTA certified instructor and Tennis Pro at Ocean Trail Racquet Club in Jupiter, coaching ladies doubles. I’m also the Assistant Varsity Head Coach for the boys and girls tennis teams at Jupiter Christian School. I have been playing tennis nearly all my life. I was a four year high school varsity player, and co-captained the team in my senior year. I grew up in RI, and taught tennis during the summers at several clubs while attending high school and college. I moved to South Florida to attend the University of Miami, After spending 30 years working in local TV News, I now teach tennis and supervise a fitness center. I've twice won the City of Palm Beach Gardens Men's Doubles Tennis Tournament playing with my brother Greg, as well as several other tournaments.
Teaching Style
I start by teaching the basics, grip, footwork, backswing, contact points, follow through. I like to vary the drills to get a student used to moving to the ball. I believe in the USPTA diagnosis and cure methodology. I like to make lessons fun and informative. I encourage my students to be an active participant, with lots of movement and hitting a lot of balls.

Awesome Pro- will continue working with Steve.
I have had six lessons and have felt that I have improved consistently. Steve gives great verbal cueing and instruction with modeling and repetition along with encouragement and patience. I will use him again next season I'm down here. Thanks Steve!
I get a great workout, intentional and precise instruction, as well as someone to keep me on track when I get distracted! I would highly recommend Steve for your lesson needs.
Steve was prompt, friendly and a great communicator. He knew exactly what I needed to work on to improve my game and I had fun doing it. Great lesson!
