About Me

Growing up in a family of talented tennis players, I have been around the sport for my whole life. My first tennis coach and my inspiration for playing and coaching the sport was my father. I played tennis competitively all throughout my childhood and adolescent years, yet it wasn't until a severe leg injury that completely halted my competing. Yet though this, I was able to shift my focus towards coaching tennis, and discovered I have a true passion for coaching and teaching tennis and sharing the inspiration I received from my father to other aspiring players. If tennis is not your forte, I also coach pickleball and am very involved in the pickleball community and game.

Teaching Style

I specialize in teaching aspiring tennis players who are new to the sport, or have a little bit of experience. I teach levels from novice, beginner, to intermediate, with a flexible age range of 4 years old to even senior citizens. First, while stretching and warming up with students, I will ask them what they believe their trouble areas are in tennis and what they would like to improve. Next (if there is prior tennis experience) I would do a short rally with students to get a better understanding of their playing style and doing so, I will carefully observe what areas I believe they could improve on, and with this in mind, I will next move on to cultivated drills designed to target and improve those areas. Once finished with those drills, We will play a fun tennis game, designed to imitate a real match, because I believe when you work hard, you should also play hard. After wrapping up and cleaning the court I will fill parents and students in on what they worked on today, signs of improvement, and activities they can work on in their own time.
