About Me
I love tennis and all of its challenges: footwork, technique, shot selection and mental stamina. From the first time that I first pick up a racket some 37 years ago, I was hooked. My only regret is that I spent so much of my childhood focused on football when I could have played tennis instead. And that is why I have focussed my teaching skills to youth tennis players and beginner- to intermediate-level adults. have played in many leagues both USTA and club and I have really enjoyed both the comradeship and the pressure of winning for your teammates.
Teaching Style
I have earned my USTA 10 & under certification and have adopted its recommended teaching technique, which is fun and skill-based. My teaching is flexible -- for private lessons, I tailor the drills and challenges based on my clients' playing level, experience and physical ability. For advanced players, I focus the lesson to specific match situations and challenge my clients in fast passed drills (bowtie, triangle of death, four-ball drill, etc.)
