About Me
Hello all, I’ve been a pro for13 years now and started out teaching on Captiva Island. I’m actually certified by Swiss tennis in addition to the USPTA from my 5 years living and teaching in Switzerland and Italy. My mentor was a coach of Roger’s for 5 years in Davis Cup. I’ve taught in the Hamptons a few summers as well as Cape Cod, Vermont and Georgia. I played college tennis at Ball State in Muncie, Indiana. I’ve played tennis since I could hold a racquet.
Teaching Style
I believe that the best coaching quality is adaptability. That means to different ages, skill levels, and also different goals of each person that steps on my court. I love breaking down every stroke and I guarantee I have a drill or an activity for every shot, (although I always say I wish life were forehands ;-)) and I have no ego on my court, it’s 100% about you learning and having fun. I have some interesting analogies to learn, but I can also do hitting lessons if someone just wants to knock the fur off the ball or just get a good workout.

Sean is, by far, the best professional instructor I've worked with in any capacity. His enthusiasm for the game of tennis is contagious. He turns a bad shot into an opportunity to learn instead of an opportunity to get down on yourself. He uses positive reinforcement and makes each lesson one worth booking and looking forward to. I always leave our sessions feeling better both about tennis and life because he brings out the kid in you. He reminds you to have fun because "tennis is easy!" Truly, I feel fortunate to have found someone so great at instruction so close to home and I cannot recommend him enough.
