About Me
I have played tennis for 15 years and competed in tournaments throughout that time. During those 15 years, my team and I had won districts in high school, and then I earned a full-ride scholarship to Dominican University of California. I trained with tennis players ranked between the top 100 and top 30 in the world, which allowed me to develop skills that maximize my form and footwork, as well as the mental toughness needed to endure many hours on the court and in the gym.
I found my passion for coaching after injuring my knee and undergoing surgery in 2020. Coaching tennis has given my the opportunity to share my knowledge with students and work in an environment where I truly thrive. I believe tennis is a sport that teaches valuable lessons for life-what one learns on the court can be applied off the court to grow as an individual.
Over the past four years, I have trained players ranging from beginners to advanced collegiate-level athletes. My most recent position, prior to moving back to Bradenton, was with TGA Premier Sports, where I worked with children ages 3-12 in Fort Myers.
Teaching Style
I structure my lessons into three sections: a warm-up, a structured breakdown of specific drills that apply to what the student wants to practice that day, and a game that reinforces what we worked on during that session.
During the first lesson, I communicate with my students to determine their skill level and the goals they want to reach. I then rally with them or feed tennis balls while analyzing areas they need to improve, which allows me to create a game plan for their development.
For future lessons, I design practices based on the student’s goals and incorporate them into my three-step training process.
