About Me
Hi, my name is Rithika and I am in medical school. I have been playing tennis since I was 5 years old. I took private lessons for 5 years and made the varsity team for all four years of high school, going to the state-level competition each of those years, and making the semi-finals with my doubles partner. I have continued my passion for tennis through coaching the last 8 years, and I love sharing the sport with as many people as I can.
Teaching Style
Technique is the most important thing to be able to start playing tennis, and therefore, is what I emphasize the most. My goal is for students to be able to recognize where they are making mistakes so eventually, they do not need me and can be self-sustaining players. I am always open with my students and explain where I think they can do better, and because of it, many can recognize their own mistakes before I even point them out which is a critical skill. Once the student learns and maintains proper technique, more advanced skills such as footwork, power, smart play, etc. will be taught. Lessons will focus on one big idea, or multiple small ideas to make sure the student properly learns what they need. I always stay positive and keep my students motivated. With younger students, I use a point system to motivate them to hit good shots, and with all students like to mix around games that take away from monotonous drills. Thanks for the consideration!

I had my two teenage daughters, who had never played tennis before, take lessons with Rithika. The girls loved their lessons and time with Rithika and they are excited to continue their tennis journey. Rithika was very easy to work with and even started coordinating directly with my daughters, which was particularly nice for a busy parent!
Rithika was an amazing coach for my daughter. Over the couple of weeks there was a clear improvement in her performance.
Rithika is great at breaking the training down in sections and allowing yourself to see how it all comes full circle. She will make sure you stick to the proper form and help you see the areas of improvement Definitely glad I chose her for a trainer.
Coach Rithika is patient, kind, professional, and has done a great job teaching my 10 year old the fundamentals of tennis while also keeping it fun. By the fourth session, my son is really getting it and enjoys playing. That’s all I wanted and she has delivered. Thank you!
