About Me
Hi there ,
My Name is Rez. I was born and raised in Cameroon and have been in the US the last 11 years. Tennis is a passion of mine. I have been playing tennis now for over 12 years (was team captain in high school). I also have experience teaching kids aged 5+. I have been a tennis instructor with I-9 sports in summers past. I've participated and won various tournaments (Not USTA or ITF) across the country. Most recently I was
A-Doubles winner Queen City Open 2021 (in Cincinnati)
A-Doubles Runner up Indy Classic Open 2022 (in Indianapolis).
A-Doubles Runner up Queen City Open 2022.
A-Singles Runner up Columbus Classic 2023.
If you want to learn proper ground strokes and technique, then I'm your guy. Look no further. I look forward to working with you :).
Teaching Style
My teaching approach depends on the skill level of the student.
However for the most part, I like to emphasize the basics i.e. grip, movement, positioning, split steps, agility training, swing pattern. These are all building blocks that once mastered, allow you to hit the perfect forehand or backhand or volley - no matter the kind of ball your opponent hits (top spin, back spin, slice, curve). THE BASICS MATTER!!!!!. It may be boring and repetitive at first, but trust me, these are the things that matter.
