About Me

My name is Ramon Gonzalez and I have been in tennis my whole live. I grew up in Valencia (Spain) where I tried to be professional but I couldn't keep playing due knees surgeries, however I was able to reach a good level and get ATP Ranking. During my time practicing in Spain, and eventually coaching ,I had a great chance to be surrounded by many top players such as Marat Safin, David Ferrer, Dinara Safina. Sara Errani, Pablo Andujar and many others, I used to be ball hitting partner with some of them many times which allowed me to gather and learn a lot of skills to become a high performance coach working in differents academies. Due my major injuries I became coach really young at the age of 20 year old and since that moment I have been trying to apply all the experience that I got when I was hitting with those great players and their coaches while keeping learning more to achieve the goal of teach any kind of level, age and player style.

Teaching Style

My goal with every student it's to improve as much as possible so every lesson it's really customized depending on the student's needs. In general , I like teaching using a combination of drills and real ball hitting. Beside, I always have a tripod in my back since I believe recording and showing the issues and technical mistakes helps people to understand and improve faster.

I’ve been taking weekly lessons for 8 months with Ramon with no prior tennis experience. Now I’m able to enjoy playing with others and can rally back and forth using the right technique!
Ramon always makes sure I use proper grip and spin the ball, and he explains detailed corrections to hit better. Each lesson is a great workout and I always feel improvement after the hour! I’ve seen him and his wife coach very advanced tennis players and also beginners like me. Highly recommend for all levels if you want to improve fast!

Ramon has been working with my son (a high performance player) for the last year, helping my son to achieve his highest UTR and USTA raking. From the beginning he made a plan to improve the weak parts of the game and improve also the fitness condition. The only thing I regret it's not having met Ramon couple of years ago. I can't about beginner or intermediate player, however if you are looking for coach for advance level you won't find anyone better than him!

I have known Ramon for 3 years. He became the coach of my family, he currently teaches my wife and my two sons all with different levels but he is doing a great job with all of them. His work quality it's great due his experience as professional player and his career as coach. About his personality he is very responsible, punctual and passionate about his job, every time he gets into the court he as very good energy, motivation and those personal skills make the lesson really fun and dynamic. The only thing I wish it's he had more time available!!!
