About Me
With over four decades of experience on the tennis court, my journey as a player and coach has been defined by a relentless passion for the sport. From my early years as a competitor to my transition into coaching, tennis has remained my steadfast source of inspiration and vitality. As a seasoned player and coach, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every lesson, guided by a nurturing, patient, and encouraging approach. Whether working with beginners taking their first steps on the court or seasoned athletes refining their skills, my goal is to help each student realize their full potential and achieve their tennis goals.
My coaching philosophy centers on developing proper technique, instilling confidence, fostering discipline, honing strategic thinking, and nurturing a deep love for the game. Whether working with beginners taking their first steps on the court or seasoned athletes refining their skills, my goal is to help each student realize their full potential and achieve their tennis goals.
Teaching Style
I am a fun and patient instructor that strives to bring out the best in every player at the pace they are comfortable with.
Every initial lesson starts with a discussion about player experience, goals and expectations involving the lessons. Having a sense of the players goals, I perform an evaluation of the students skills by hitting tennis balls for a few minutes. This gives me the opportunity to develop a training plan for the first session, as well as future lessons.
Next, we put the regular tennis balls away and introduce the student to low-compression tennis balls (foam, red, orange and green). Each ball is slightly firmer/livelier, respectively. I work with low-compression balls which makes it much easier to learn tennis. The slower balls provide more time for proper footwork, early racquet preparation, focusing on proper technique, longer rallying faster, developing confidence sooner, and much more fun. You’ll be amazed. I look forward to working with you to develop your game that you can enjoy a lifetime.
Each lesson will be a fun workout where you will experience progress. Bring water to hydrate:)

Sooo much fun hitting with Paul! I played tennis for my whole life, then took about a decade off after injury. I wanted to get back into playin the sport, and Paul has helped fine tune my strokes and give me pointers to really boost my confidence! And he is always willing to meet me early in the morning before work to hit ☺️
Paul is an incredibly patient and skilled instructor who has helped me improve significantly since my first lesson. By the end of my second session, I was already able to hit balls. He carefully breaks down each movement into manageable steps and explains the techniques thoroughly, no matter how often I ask.
Paul was great to hit with! He gave me wonderful input to improve my game as my tennis season was about to begin.
I would highly recommend Paul
As an instructor for beginners to intermediate players.
Paul is an excellent coach and a natural instructor. He is very knowledgeable and I was impressed at how much progress I made in the first lesson. In only an hour he was able to show me proper form for the forehand and backhand while making sure we got plenty of hitting in. I am looking forward to my future lessons with him!
