About Me
I am currently in my 13th year as a high school tennis coach with more than 100 match wins and coach of the year in 2012 and 2016 in the Andover, MA, area. I am now in my sixth year as coach at the Tennis Academy at Harvard University. I coached all levels of play from first time players to collegiate / semi-pro players. I was previously ranked No. 1 in New England in father/son doubles. In 2010, I represented New England in the Men's National 4.0 50 and over team in Palm Springs, California.
Teaching Style
My emphasis is 1) on the mechanics of the stroke, 2) on the proper grip and spin to use, and finally, when the student has mastered the mechanics, on 3) the strategy and tactics to help the student reach their full potential and most enjoy the game.

Paul worked really well with my 8-year-old son. He is very knowledgeable, energetic and patient. Great coach!
Paul is a patient coach and knows how to explain techniques for all to understand. Paul works through the mechanics and then works on giving you the muscle memory to consistently deliver what has been taught. He is genuine, attentive and flexible on scheduling.
Paul is very knowledgeable and professional. Always early and prepared to start the lesson on time. He is teaching my 10 year old daughter, who is new to the sport. He is kind and has a very gentle yet encouraging demeanor. You can tell he has a great deal of experience teaching children. She was a little extra tired today and began getting frustrated near the end. He instinctively read her mood shift ( god bless him) and altered the lesson while providing encouragement. Since I watch the lessons and know little about the sport, he was informing me also on rules, terms etc. I would definitely recommend him.
Great coach!
