About Me
Hi, my name is Oliver and I'm passionate about tennis and helping others looking to learn more about this great sport. I grew up in England, where I played junior and college tennis (winning a National Title while attending The London School of Economics) but having graduated, I decided to leave the corporate world and moved to the USA in 2012 to pursue my joy for coaching. I have had the fortune to experience the game at almost all levels of the sport: As a player i captained my college team to a national title in 2008. As a coach I have traveled all over the world as a hitting partner on the Professional Tour - WTA & ATP, including playing at the US Open. I currently coach a Canadian Junior who is Top 500 ITF (international tennis federation) whom i have traveled with all over the USA and South America on the ITF Junior Circuit. As assistant pro at Overbrook Golf Club for 3 years, I also have extensive experience at the lower levels of the game; not only with adults - women's and men's doubles and singles instruction, but I also work with the juniors as i helped set up the "quick start" junior tennis program at the club.
Teaching Style
While i have extensive experience at the highest levels of the game, i enjoy working with those of all abilities, those with a passion for learning and an eagerness and determination to accomplish whatever goal they may have in the sport. I personally tailor a series of lessons based on what YOUR objective is in the sport. Do you want to beat the person up the ladder on your USTA team? Do you want to make the varsity high school team? Oliver is an amazing tennis instructor. He has taught me, as an adult, and all of my children in both private and group lessons. Each one of us feels that our game improves each time we meet with Oliver. He is patient and positive and always has a tip to help your game, yet provides a vigorous and challenging lesson.
