About Me

Hi, my name is Neil. I am from Albertson, NY, very close to the Christopher Morley Park, which just opened up a state of the art tennis center. I've been playing tennis since I was ten years old. Started out taking lessons at Port Washington Tennis Academy, then branched out to some privates and at Robbie Wagner's. I went on to play varsity tennis at Wheatley High School, where I received the unsung hero award at the end of my senior year. Immediately after high school I began teaching at Eastern Excel Summer Camp in Bethpage. I went on to college at SUNY Genseso where I was number one singles and went undefeated my freshman year. I transferred to Hofstra University where I was one of the founders of its first ever club tennis team where I also taught my own classes. For summers during college I would hold my own classes at recreational camps. This past summer, I decided to start teaching again at a summer camp. Tennis has always been something that I have been really passionate about both playing and watching, and I just want to spark that same passion within other people.

Teaching Style

I structure my lessons in a way that emphasizes one aspect of the different things that go into play when hitting a tennis ball, either footwork, stance, back swing, contact point, or follow through, and sticking to that aspect without deviating throughout the lesson. I specialize in teaching the serve and forehand, as these are my strongest shots.
