About Me

Hi, my name is Nathan. I played tennis at Hardin-Simmons University, and I am currently a ranked ATP Professional player. I have been teaching lessons for about 7 years. I really find joy in seeing people progress as players and people. I'll make it my goal to ensure that you will have the best chance in reaching your goals.

Teaching Style

I'll typically ask the student what they're wanting to work on, while having an idea of what I think they need to work on. I like to be on the same page with the people I teach, so they can see the things that I see which will help with problem solving during a match. From that point on, I'll usually structure each lesson around something that needs to be worked on. This will include a lot of repetitions in the form of drills and occasionally games to keep it fun. I usually put a high emphasis on the serve, because in my opinion that is the most important shot in tennis. So each lesson will probably end with some sort of serving.

Nathan is an awesome coach! He’s fun & personable, explains each technique in depth, and has really made our lessons enjoyable. My husband and I decided to take tennis lessons as something to do after our baby was recently born, and it has been the best decision! We’re grateful that Nathan is helping us learn something new!

Nathan has been an excellent instructor for my 9-yr old son. He shows patience while pushing him to focus and execute - nice balance. My son enjoys the hour long lessons and looks forward to his time to hang-out and play tennis with Mr. Nathan. I am pleased with the progress and with the ease in which they get along.
