About Me

My name is Miles Clark I have been playing for 12 years and coaching for two. I was a former coach at Rise Tennis Academy and I currently volunteer as an assistant coach at Riverside City College for the men and women's team. I graduated from RCC in the summer of 2019 and played for the team from 2017-2019. My first year I played #5 singles and #3 doubles, I was undefeated in singles the whole season and helped the team win the conference. My second year I alternated between #1 and #2 singles and played #1 doubles. I was conference singles finalist and conference doubles champion. I received the ITA most improved sophomore award and nominated for the Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award. I have been offered a scholarship to go play division 1 tennis for North Carolina Central University.

Teaching Style

I am best at teaching how to play. I focus on different strategies, styles of play, and mentality. Ultimately, I want to ensure my student learns something and has fun.

I’ve only had one lesson so far but coach Miles is an incredible player. His strokes were beautiful and I think he’s a perfect player to try and emulate.

He made the strokes sound so simple, almost too simple, yet with his guidance it really did feel simple. I was immediately hitting with much more pace and consistency. He made easily digestible corrections that made a huge and immediate difference. He knows his stuff.

I’d highly recommend him if you’re new to tennis or if you’re a more advanced player, he plays at a very high level himself so he has first hand experience on what it takes to be a competitive player.
