About Me
My Journey as a tennis coach:
Tennis has always been more than just a sport to me—it’s a passion, a discipline, and a way of life. As a coach, I bring not only technical expertise but also a deep love for the game that I strive to pass on to
I grew up valuing hard work, determination, and the importance of community. When I moved to Katy Texas, I embraced the new opportunities ahead, and coaching tennis became one of the most rewarding paths I could take. Coaching allows me to connect with players of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop their abilities while instilling confidence, discipline, and a love for the game.
I believe that being a great coach is about more than just teaching technique—it’s about mentorship, motivation, and understanding that every player is unique. My coaching philosophy is built on patience, encouragement, and pushing players to reach their highest potential while keeping the game enjoyable. Whether working with beginners just picking up a racket or advanced players looking to refine their skills, I take pride in offering personalized instruction tailored to their needs.
In addition to coaching, I value responsibility, accountability, and strong character, qualities I have worked hard to instill in my own family. My son, who has taken on leadership roles in ministry and even coached tennis himself, is a testament to the values I hold dear. I strive to set the same example for my players, teaching them that success in tennis—like in life—comes from dedication, perseverance, and a positive attitude.
Beyond the court, I believe in fostering a strong sense of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Tennis isn’t just about winning matches; it’s about growth, resilience, and lifelong enjoyment. My goal is to create an environment where players feel challenged yet supported, motivated yet comfortable, and always excited to step on the court.
As I continue my journey as a tennis coach, I am committed to excellence, continuous learning, and bringing out the best in every player I work with. Tennis has given me so much, and now, I am honored to give back by helping others discover their own love for the game.

Mike was a phenomenal coach. His knowledge of the game is evident in the way he is able to break down complex skills for a beginner such as myself. He easily adapted his approach to cater to my own personal goals for the game and was always excited to challenge me in that journey. I was so happy to be able to work with him that I asked a friend to join in for a session. Mike was thorough, clear and balanced in his directions for us and curated a seamless environment of camaraderie and competition. If you are looking to learn the game or focus in on a skill, I highly recommend booking with Mike.
