About Me
My name is Michael a United States Professional Tennis certified tennis instructor and I want to ask to be your Instructor. I own STL Total Tennis.
I am am a very very passionate and highly accomplished Instructor. I have trained under some of the best coaches in the world. As a junior I was taught by Gloria Connors and trained at Nick Bollitieries now IMG tennis academy. In college my coach was the famous Craig Tiley ( The Current Tournament director for the Australian Open) who is considered the greatest college coach in NCAA history. I have taught at the world famous Saddlebook Academy Under Master Tennis Professional Howard Moore where I have taught beginners to ATP professionals.
You will not find a more knowledgeable coach...however, what I hope makes me different most is simply that I CARE. I want you to accomplish your goals. I do NOT stare at my watch. I get to know my clients and try to communicate to you in a way that you understand. Everyone learns differently and I try to cater to your style. It doesn't matter what the instructor knows it matters if they can communicate what they know in a way that you can learn. My lessons are 90 minutes rather than the traditional 60.
Teaching Style
I would like to believe believe my greatest strengths are my advanced technical knowledge but more importantly my PASSION!!! I love to teach and I want you to get better. I love the challenge. I will first get to know you and what it is you are trying to accomplish and let you just play as you normally do. I will try to identify your strengths or any weaknesses and we will build on the strengths while trying to eliminate any weaknesses. I love finding new ways to communicate tennis concepts to students in ways they understand. I have a focus on modern tennis technique which is both most effective and easier on the body. One of the greatest satisfactions I receive is when I have helped eliminate pain or injuries that have came from improper technique.
