About Me
I am a certified coach for the state of Connecticut. I have played tennis in high school and college. I play tennis regularly in leagues and tournaments around the state. I founded and direct my own tournament called The Wayton Open. 2015 was our eighth year and we saw a record 220 entries in 10 divisions with all proceeds going to scholarships for Southington High School tennis players. I have also run the spring & summer tennis programs for the Cheshire Parks & Recreation department for the past two years, teaching kids from 5-16 years old. In addition I have also given tennis lessons for Cheshire Parks & Recreation and privately.
Teaching Style
I start my lessons with a stretch and warm-up. I cater every lesson to fit the individual needs of my client. If they want to work specifically on a stroke or something they would like to get better at I like to structure the lesson around that.

He is Flexible
Matt did a great job with my 7 year old. Marco can be easily distracted and generally loses interest quickly. Matt engaged him and kept him interested. The best thing? At the end, Marco said "it's over already?" I will be telling my friends about Matt. Very pleased with the lesson.
