About Me

My personal and heartfelt objective is to teach tennis to clients of all ages and all skill levels and to enrich their lives both on and off the court. I look forward to sharing my teaching experience with the hundreds of teaching methods taught to me throughout my 45 plus years of learning, playing and instructing the game of tennis. My teaching goal is to provide students with a sense of confidence, self esteem and the "I can do this!" mentality. To continue being a service professional and ambassador for the game of tennis as it was for me. Having more than 38 years of teaching, instructing and coaching I will continue to provide and pass on my experience onto others. I have been extremely successful at teaching private instructional tennis lessons in and around the Chicago area since 2005. I have taught thousands of clients either sing private/semi-private/group settings and much more. I played #1 singles in high school for my junior and senior years, played #6 singles for the University of Michigan as a "Walk On" receiving an educational scholarship for both my junior and senior years of college. I finished with a 21-18 an overall singles record in Big Ten conference play my senior year. I then began playing professionally on the Rossignol Tennis Circuit for seven years after college. I have played all over the world and have taught all over the country at various Tennis clubs, Country clubs, Various Park & Recreation departments .Today I am the currently the director of all tennis program development for the Des Plaines Park District, a position I have held since 2010 as well as a 1 of 3 seasonal staff teaching pros for the Park Ridge Country Club since 2013. My life of being involved in tennis as a beginner at the age of 6 then advancing to a high level junior player, playing #1 singles player during high school which I made it to the quarterfinals of the state tournament in 1978. Then entered the United States Air Force for a two year period serving our country. I then returned to for the University of Michigan my senior season then becoming a Big Ten college student and teaching, training and developing youth and adult play

Teaching Style

I teach all developmental skills i.e. forehand, backhand, serve, volley and overhead. I will introduce you to court etiquette and game strategy. Depending on your level of experience, I will teach you comprehensive and specific court exercises and drills to enhance each skill set to the best of your ability. I will teach group lessons to those wanting to learn with friends and family or for couples looking to do something fun and have a healthy activity to share together. I have been involved with teaching many private lessons in the Chicago area for eight years and counting. I hope to talk about your tennis goals and aspirations and looking forward spending time with you on the courts, sharing something I love to do.

Great first lesson. As a beginner with little to no knowledge he made me comfortable and provided a good space in which to learn. Also was a great workout.
