About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Mark and I’m a private tennis coach in the bay area with over 10 years of experience. I grew up playing junior tournaments across California. I went on to attend USC, where I served as both hitting partner and manager for the Division I men’s tennis team (we won an NCAA National Championship while I was there in 2014). After college, I began teaching private lessons throughout the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Areas. I also worked on and off with a professional player, even coaching him at the 2017 US Open. I'm currently one of the lead coaches at Stanford Nike Tennis Camp. Fun fact: I’ve been the longtime coach (10+ years) to TV talk show host Dr. Phil, and President of the Tennis Channel Ken Solomon. Another fun fact: I have a win (from back in the juniors) over a current professional men’s player who has been ranked as high as #37 in the world—and is still in the top 100. I enjoy working with kids and adults, beginners to advanced, and everything in between! I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Mark

“I’ve been playing competitive tennis for over 40 years, and Mark has truly been a game changer! He works with your natural tendencies to maximize your game in the shortest time possible—whether you’re a beginner or an ‘old dog’ like me. Most importantly, we have fun every minute of every lesson. He’s great with kids as well. I recommend him without reservation. He was on an NCAA Division I championship team for a reason!” – TV Talk Show Host, Dr. Phil
Mark is a very experienced coach. I am so glad that i took lessons with him. In just a few lessons, my groundstrokes and my first serve improved considerably. He is very good at spotting all the little things i am doing with my strokes and gave really specifc advices. I highly recommend him!
