About Me

Playing tennis since 4 years old, acquiring competing and coaching experience playing juniors and professional open tournaments. Been coaching and playing around the the world from my hometown (Cordoba, Argentina), where I played for Nalbandian Tennis Academy and Argentina's National Tennis Federation. With me, you will work a lot on grips, footwork, movement, coordination, unit-turn, and stance positions for strokes both in offensive and defensive situations. To accomplish your goals, drills will be oriented to improve footwork by incorporating warm-up ladders and cones, to prevent injuries with elastic bands, to transfer power with medicine-balls and a functional pointer.
I look forward to meeting you. Best, Mariano S.

Teaching Style

My goal is to provide you with the footwork and swing mechanics to become a more consistent players. I expect to guide you on finding your own tools to play consistent offensive and defensive shots.

Mariano is a visual teacher, which matches my learning style. I have been able to correct a lot of beginner's mistakes through his instruction. He is very patient, and his experience from the competition circuits is super valuable. He tailors his advice based on his detailed observation, not just generic advice. I greatly appreciate his coaching!

Mariano is a wonderful coach and focuses on techniques and strategy with me. He has an infectious passion for the sport of tennis that comes to life with a great eye for finding where I can improve my game.

He runs drills to build on technical foundations, is receptive to feedback and requests on where I hope to continue getting better, and keeps each lesson fresh with a new approach or insight. In between lessons, Mariano also shares videos and short readings to keep the learning going.

I highly recommend Mariano as a coach for all ages to introduce the foundation of tennis or to address any specific gaps in your game.

Coach Mariano is the best tennis coach who charges less than $100/hr. If he is not the best, then he is among the top 5. Let me tell you why.

I believe that the efficacy of a tennis coach in improving a student’s skill can be summed up in three factors: the coach's skill level, a wealth of knowledge, and communication.

Mariano doesn't leave you struggling to understand what he’s trying to say when he diagnoses problems in your game and suggests ways to fix them. He communicates clearly, cheerfully, and precisely, meaning you make a lot of progress quickly.
