About Me
Hi! I'm Kevin. I have been involved in the world of tennis since I was about the age of 10 when my parents introduced the game to me and I immediately loved it. I have played competitively through high school and college(Mount Union University) and I have also competed in numerous USTA and Ultimate tennis leagues in the 23 years since my affinity for the sport began. While at university I was a high school tennis coach for an all girls private high school in north east Ohio. I also instructed lessons through my city's parks and recreation department for 7 years in which I designed lessons structured for players ranging from the ages of 5 to 65. Currently, I am a university professor of mathematics, but I like to play at least once a week and have started teaching my own 7 year old daughter how to play. My experience on the court and my experience in the classroom allow for a dynamic, engaging rapport with students that promotes growth and improvement in tennis skills for players of all ages.
Teaching Style
My lessons emphasize the fundamentals that are required to build the framework of a solid tennis player - footwork, preparation, and consistent strokes. Each lesson tends to focus on a particular tennis stroke and works to develop proper form and consistency on that shot. Depending on the level of the player I tailor my instruction to fit one or two vital areas to improve upon each lesson, so when the student leaves, they have a targeted goal in mind that they can improve upon when they are playing on their own.

Kevin's been an amazing coach so far - in just two lessons I'm already feeling like my forehands significantly improved. What used to be a good forehand every 5 hits, is now very consistent leading to strong rallies.
Kevin was amazing!! My son wants to practice tennis every day now. Kevin was on time with a smile and even went over the hour time slot. I would definitely recommend Kevin for tennis lessons.
