About Me
I have played tennis since I was about 11 years old. I first trained with Aztec Tennis Club, under Carlton Jones. At 14, I started working as an assistant at the club, and have coached there every summer since and at times during the school year as well. I have taught kids and adults from beginner to advanced levels, in both group and individual formats.
At St. Mary's College High School, I played #1 singles for three years, and was team captain my Junior and Senior seasons. After completing 2 years of college, I am now looking to share my knowledge and experience in tennis with the community. I embrace working with individuals of any skill level to really improve their game and have fun in the process.
Teaching Style
I cater my lessons to the individual student and their skill and experience level. I believe that tennis should be approached as a mental, physical, and technical sport, so I focus on these three broad categories. For beginners, I do emphasize technical and mechanical development, so the individual is prepared advance levels. For higher level players, I like to incorporate strategy and tactics, as this is essential to improvement.
