About Me
Hi! My name is Katya, and I have been playing tennis since I could carry a racquet. I joined Brookhaven Tennis Academy at the age of 12 in Dallas, TX and during my junior year of high school, I went to Barcelona, Spain to train at the Sanchez Casal Tennis Academy (top academy in the world - trained many top tier pros such as Andy Murrary and Svetlana Kuznetsova). My coaching experience began in the summers during High School at Brookhaven, and I coached all skill and age levels from age 5 to 18+ at the beginner to high performance level. By the time I finished high school, I was ranked top 10 in TX with a high of #4, and top 70 in the nation. This led to receiving a full ride scholarship to play for the University of Richmond, a D1 Program. I played in the 1-2 doubles spots and 4-6 Singles all four years. I am extremely passionate and knowledgeable in the sport, and would love to help you improve any aspect of your game that you desire. I am skilled in stroke analysis, drilling, rallying, etc. and will keep the lesson fun as you learn and train.
Teaching Style
I am great at drilling, stroke analysis, rallying, etc. I can structure the lesson to your liking, or do a standard lesson where we warmup, drill each stroke, and finish with serves. I can provide stroke analysis feedback or just give you a really great workout and tips to improve your game.

Student Feedback
Great, consistent instruction with practical tips and drills. Would recommend to anyone looking to refine their play.
I have had 4 lessons with Katya now and would definitely recommend her for anyone looking to improve their game.
I am an intermediate player with many things to fix in my game and Katya has helped me correct mistakes in my technique (or lack of technique :) ).
Be it rallying or drills she knows her stuff and does a good job of maintaining lessons upbeat, even in 100 degree weather!
