About Me
My name is Josh. I am a senior from Memphis, TN. I love playing tennis and ever since I taught tennis to young kids at a summer camp 3 years ago, I have very much enjoyed coaching. When I am not coaching, I play tennis almost everyday. I plan to attend college and study Sports Medicine so that I can continue a career in something related to sports, which is something that I'm passionate about!
Teaching Style
I focus mainly on stroke progression and technique. I believe that a strong base in technique transfers to stronger and better results in match play. I specialize in teaching kids of all ages, as it is important to teach kids a great base so that when they grow older and continue in the sport, they will begin to excel. I think it is important to have a good start and an early start. A typical lesson with me would usually start out with some dynamic stretches, Next we would do a technique tune up and I would make sure everything looks good. After that, I would feed balls to the student and then eventually progress to live ball drills. As a player, I believe it is important to have fun, so of course there would be some of that mixed into the lesson. But must of all, my goal is to help my student improve.
