About Me
Hi, I’m Jonathan, a dedicated tennis coach with over three years of coaching experience, including two years of private instruction and one year coaching high school tennis. I bring more than 18 years of playing experience to my coaching, highlighted by four years of varsity high school tennis, a third place finish at the state tournament, and a top seven statewide ranking in my age group. I am passionate about helping players develop strong fundamentals, build confidence, and grow a genuine love for the game. Whether you are a beginner learning the basics or a competitive player striving to reach the next level, my goal is to help you become the best player you can be. I look forward to working with you on the court! Here are some videos of my practice sessions.
Teaching Style
I specialize in fundamentals and competitive development, with a strong focus on stroke technique, footwork, consistency, and match strategy. I emphasize fundamentals, smart shot selection, and mental confidence so players can perform under pressure. My lessons are structured with a clear objective each session, beginning with technical breakdowns and footwork drills, moving into controlled rally and situational drills, and finishing with point play to translate skills into real match performance. I am happy to match the pace of the student and to cater towards what their needs are.

I had a tennis lesson with Jonathan Suh and it was a great experience. I’m a beginner/intermediate player, and Jonathan did an awesome job explaining everything clearly and breaking things down in a way that made sense. He gave very detailed corrections on what I was doing wrong and helped me understand how to fix my technique step by step. He’s super patient, encouraging, and keeps the lesson fun, which made it easy to stay motivated and relaxed. I could already feel an improvement in my technique by the end of the session. Highly recommend Jonathan if you’re looking to improve while enjoying the process.
