Johann is an excellent coach! Very patient and knows how to zero in on what you need to improve the most - so you get better quickly. I would highly recommend Johann.
Amazing instructor, very patient and fun to learn from. Quickly picks up on the issues with your game and gives you concrete tips on how to correct them. Really improved my serve, highly recommended!
My teenage son has taken 12 hours of tennis lessons this summer with Johann. He’s been amazing. He’s incredibly knowledgeable. He has been patient, kind and encouraging. I would strongly recommend lessons with him to anyone.
Great lesson. Good tips, attentive, kind. Very pleased with my lesson and look forward to more.
Deep understanding and details work to coach an expert kid
Got off to a great start with Johann. He was clear with explanations and patient. I am excited to be working with him.
We cannot recommend Johann enough. He is a great teacher, very professional, skilled and patient. He is always willing to go the extra mile to help his students learn, and has a great energy and attitude that made us look forward to every class. Simply put, Johann is the best!
My first lesson with Johann was great. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and really went above and beyond. I felt my game improving with just the first lesson. He also sent me videos and directions to a hitting wall after the lesson for continuity between one lesson to the next. Fantastic experience so far. Definitely recommend.
Johann was immediately perceptive about my game - strengths and weaknesses, explained needed improvements clearly and effectively, and used a great balance of hitting shots and playing some points to practice proper technique on the move while his pointers were still fresh in mind. Highly recommended.
Great coach, very patient and responsible. He also sends me videos of the pros so that I can learn more at home.
My kids were taught by quite a few clubs and tennis coaches over the last few years and Johann by far is one of the best. One on one lessons are an absolute must if you want your kids to ever make progress in tennis.
Johann's teaching skills are exceptional and he is particularly good at making sure that kids with different skill levels get appropriate attention. Both of my kids (15 and 10) love playing with Johann and I am very happy that their skill and confidence improve with each lesson. This will be their fourth season with Johann as a coach. Scheduling is very easy.
Tennis is for life and this money is well spent!
Johann is delightful! He teaches my children private lessons and he makes the lessons fun while still really polishing their skills. He is very warm and engaged, never seeming impatient or indifferent, and manages to keep them focused without coming across as a drill sergeant. I live right across from community tennis courts, so I've observed several different tennis instructors, and Johann's rapport with his students is the best I've seen.
Johann is a great tennis instructor. I've taken a few other tennis classes prior to moving to the Boston area, but was hooked after the first class with Johann. Johann is very personable and patient. He focused on the basics in helping me improve my game. Johann has a trained eye for good technique providing excellent advice in adjusting my shots. I would absolutely recommend Johann for all levels.
Johann gave private lessons to my three boys, ages 6, 9, and 11. He was great with the kids and very understanding of their different personalities and how to motivate them. He was able to evaluate their technique and give them individual suggestions to improve, which was especially helpful with one kid who had already developed some bad habits. Most important to him was that they develop a love of tennis and he kept the lessons fun and enjoyable for them.
I would highly recommend Johann to anyone who wants to learn to play tennis or improve their game. I have taken several lessons with Johann and he is always a pleasure to learn from. His lessons are structured, he listens well, and pays close attention to the areas you need to work on. He really challenged me to make my ground strokes more consistent and stronger. He always set a good pace for the lesson. I never felt overwhelmed but I always felt like I pushed myself. He uses every minute well and does not waste your time your money.
I took tennis lessons when I was a teen and am now in my 40s, so needless to say it had been a while...Johann helped me to recall what I already had in terms of form, but then added very good insight into my game (which still has a long way to go).
The lessons start with warm up, then focus on different points of improvement and adjustment, and then end with volleys/serves to try out the instruction in action.
He is a great teacher because he can speak to everyone at their own level, while still making it challenging. My fiance and stepdaughter (beginners) also took lessons from him and they got a great introduction to the fundamentals of tennis. I would highly recommend him as a teacher. He is also a very pleasant person who gets along with all types of people.
My son, age 9, has been learning tennis from Johann for around 2 years now. Johann was his first teacher. Johann is very good with kids and a really talented tennis teacher too. My kid loves the classes and is getting decent at tennis.
