About Me
Hi. My name is Jimmy. I've played tennis for ten years and I played on the NC State Club Tennis team. I've coached many students before, including children and adults of all ages and skill levels. I really love to coach beginners, because that is when their interest sparks. I am highly enthusiastic about this sport and coaching. In high school, I received the Coach's Award my junior and senior year but not solely for my playing. I recruited almost all of the team and encouraged my friends to come out, and that's what I would like to do with others. Tennis seemed very uninteresting to my friends, and now they are in love with the sport. I would like to strike that same passion in the people I coach. It is something I love and have always loved, so reach out to me if you have even a slight interest in tennis.
Teaching Style
I like to emphasize being able to hit with the right form. From there, we can work on cutting or having to hit the ball in different situations. So, I like to get the player a steady feel of how s/he should be hitting consistently. I really focus on that by centering a lot of my drills around aiming and passing.

Latest Reviews
Jimmy is great with our young kids. He is kind, patient, and responsive. We always text prior to a weekend lesson and he is quick to be in touch. In a short amount of time, my kids have gone from zero knowledge to enjoying the challenge of hitting the ball across the court.
