About Me
Holding the brand new USTA Coaching Development Badge, 75% completion of the USTA Professional Certification. Lifelong avid tennis player and coach. Learned a lot about how to coach from my father, who coached baseball (including a former Cubs relief pitcher), basketball, and me privately in tennis on occasion. I strongly believe in meeting players where they are and working from there. No two people are going to take the exact same journey to improve their game, so there's always a level of customization needed for everyone.
Teaching Style
Before we get to work on anything too in depth, I need to see where you're at when you play! So this includes some introductory time, initial evaluation, and not just breaking the ice, but allowing it some "thaw" time as well! I know I personally tend to make a few extra mistakes when playing with someone new, or in the initial evaluation with a coach. I won't take anything from the first few sessions as an indicator of your typical level of play if you feel that is not an accurate representation of your performance.
