About Me
I love sports. I am a World Champion and X Games Champion in Big Air snowboarding. I was on a full tennis scholarship in California for 4 years. I love sport and helping others be the best they can be. I never put a ceiling on possibilities.
I have an early childhood teacher degree and a specialist in special education and masters in Curriculum development. Was a school teacher , teaching a variety of grades from 6- 9 .
I have three kids 15, 17 and 19 years of age.
I have tremendous compassion for helping people develop from wherever they are to begin with. Often teaching tennis is more than just learning about how to play tennis. I help kids with their mental health, self belief, positive self talk, teaching them to surround themselves with positive supportive people. I help kids play tennis and figure out how to manage and cope with situations on court which often they can relate to situations off the court. Emotions of frustration, wanting to give up, not believing in themselves etc.
Teaching Style
I structure my lesson around the goals of the athlete.
I work with both competitive and recereational athletes. I have worked with a female and male ranked # 1 in the nation in the senior age groups and I work with kids and adult who've never hit a ball before.
