About Me
I've lived in Greensboro, NC, for 23 years. I just retired as head tennis coach at North Carolina A&T University located in Greensboro. I do play active tennis daily and participate in local tennis tournaments. I managed a 10 and under tennis program before accepting a college tennis assignment.
Teaching Style
My style includes fun-based drills to build interest, footwork drills and thorough direction for both the forehand and backhand strokes.

Great coach!
James is an excellent coach. He explains things clearly and works patiently with me until I grasp a technique. He pushes me to improve, yet knows how to still make my lessons enjoyable so I don't become frustrated. He is always on time and doesn't waste a minute of my hourly lessons.
He carries huge amount of knowledge and experience with him. He explains everything over and over until I am comfortable. He is a Tennis guru!

As an educator myself, I can appreciate the clarity of the instructions and demonstrations and the endless patience in working with an adult who has never been the sporty type. James is also good in establishing a working relationship based on trust and understanding. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
