About Me
I started playing tennis at 11 in Bogota, Colombia. I played and coached kids of all levels for Norwalk Grassroots Tennis for 2 years in Norwalk, Connecticut. I received a tennis scholarship from this nonprofit towards my first year of undergrad. During my undergrad, I coached after school programs (pre-k to 8th grade) twice a week. During the summers, I have coached summer camps for kids and teenagers of all levels at Sidwell Friends School, Washington International School, and TGA Premier Tennis. I have also had over 10 private adult tennis players for a duration of 1-6 months each. Ultimately, I worked as a High School teacher for 2 years and have a minor in Teaching from GW. I love implementing best practices into classes I teach and sports I coach.
Teaching Style
I like to focus on developing game skills that carry outside of the court. I emphasize on quality of teaching through validated pedagogical approaches. I structure my lessons with dynamic warm-ups, skill development, and game development. I specialize in beginner to intermediate players but, I also offer hitting sessions for intermediate/advanced players
