About Me
Hi, my name is Gune. I have been playing tennis since I was 6-years-old. I grew up in Mongolia where I won multiple national championships. I also participated in many international tournaments representing Mongolia. Recently I coached Mongolian National Women's Team in the Fed Cup (the women's world cup of tennis). I also coached at one of the best tennis academies in the world and many summer tennis camps. I co-founded a non-profit organization called Teach Play Serve where we offer cheap tennis lessons to Bay Area kids and send care packages to Mongolian orphanage centers with our profits from the lessons. I started helping my dad to coach tennis since I was 14. My dad is a professional tennis coach and used to be the head national coach of Mongolia. I believe I gained so much coaching knowledge from him.
Teaching Style
I'd like to work on fundamentals a lot. First few lessons I definitely will go over the fundamentals. Also, I like all around players therefore, I like to teach my students every single techniques.

I really enjoyed learning tennis from Gunburd this summer. Gunburd is a people person; he’s patient and attentive to his students’ concerns and interests. Technique-wise, he’s well qualified and teaches in a way that is easy to understand. He seems to prefer flexible scheduling, which wasn’t a problem for me during the summer. I had fun while improving my tennis game every week. Thanks, Gunburd!
My daughter and I feel very fortunate to have Mr. Batjargal as our coach. He is more than we expected.
Coach Gunburd is mild, nice, patient and possesses great skills. Highly recommend.
Gunburd has been a great coach for my 6 yr old, starting from basics and also drills and exercises that are appropriate for that age. He has also been very patient and tries to understand how fickle the small kids are in their interest levels on different days.
