About Me
Hi, my name is Gregory. I have played tennis for over 20 years and played in various competitions. Using that experience I am able to help other players as they learn about the game of tennis. I have 8 years of coaching experience. Most of my coaching experience has been working with children ages from 3-18. For most it was their first time playing and they were able to learn the basics and improve from there. Others were intermediate and advanced players and we focused on specific skills in order to improve their play.
Also during the 8 years of coaching it includes 2 years of coaching high school tennis where I was responsible for running the team. It includes running practices, deciding on a line up, transportation and anything else that is involved in running a team.
Teaching Style
Tennis is a fun sport and when teaching other's it is important to make it fun as possible. By making it fun the players don't see that they are also learning and improving as tennis players. When trying to improve skills it is important to start with the fundamentals. Ground strokes, serve, return, volleys and overhead are all important. Before a player can focus on strategy in order to help them win a match, they will need to have a good grasp of the fundamentals. Without a good grasp of the fundamentals, no matter what strategy they try to use, the result will still end up in failure.
Consistency is very important in tennis. Helping players become consistent with their shots is also a way of helping players improve as well.

Gregory began to give lessons to my 16 year old son. My son loved the experience and is eager to have more frequent lessons. My son and I found Gregory to be knowledgeable, very pleasant and patient. My son also said that Gregory was very funny which made the experience enjoyable. It had been almost 2 years since my son had played tennis in middle school. It turns out that the teacher at the middle school had not taught basic skills. This did not matter because Gregory made sure (with a lot of patience) that my son handle all the basic skills properly. My son and I highly recommend Gregory. We look forward to frequent lessons for at least the whole summer.
Gregory is professional and knowledgeable and enjoys sharing his knowledge. He's done a great job with my daughter to improve her strokes.
Gregory is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. His coaching style is great!!!!
Gregory is knowledgeable and experienced. I left the lessons feeling like I can identify the cause of mistakes and now know the basics/what mistakes I tend to make while volleying and serving, of which I knew none of so that is great.
As a beginner I wanted to take lessons to learn technique, practice playing, and learn more about the game. Gregory taught me so much, helped me feel more confident when playing. Highly recommend!
