About Me

Hello, I absolutely love the game of tennis and I'm happy to teach it to you. Tennis for me is very therapeutic, focusing on this little yellow ball provides an escape from some of the pressures of life and provides a great physical workout that keeps me in shape. I hope the passion and enjoyment that I have for that game can be transferred to you or your kids. I've played since the age of 5 and happy to share my skills with you. Lets have fun. Effective coaching doesn’t come in one form as every player is different and depending on the students and dynamics within the group. The coach has to select the best way to communicate to achieve the best results. I played competitive tennis when I was in the Junior. Have library with over 20 books related to tennis teaching strategies and the inner game of tennis.

Teaching Style

Teaching Style; Student dependent; Coaching tennis to me should be base upon a number of considerations. These include: the developmental characteristics and individual requirements of the player. Is a junior wanting to go pro.. that's very different from a Soccer Mom not wanting to be embarrassed at her club. It is very often that coaches come to a session with an idea as to what they want to teach, but how can a coach offer a quality session if giving the players what they want and what they need are conflicting? I most agree with a cooperative style teaching method; This style of coaching allows the coach and player to share in the learning process thus making it a team effort. The coach must create a learning environment where tactics and techniques are presented as problems to be solved to improve consistency or win more points. With the use of effective questioning, the players will discover and experience solutions. On finding these solutions, there are agreed objectives on what to do, and how to do it. Long story short my program can and will be catered to the students need.
