About Me
Hello! My name is Evan Abbott, 5.5 NPR player and tennis professional certified and insured by the USPTA under Bob Henson with an ELITE result on the oncourt exam(documentation provided). I specialize in “speed development stroke production” with results in as little as 15 minutes! My technique results in beginners rallying consistently with topsin in under a month, as well as advanced players developing 5.0 NPR level strokes in a matter of hours. I coached West Ranch High School In 2013 and aided in their achievement to the 1 ranking in the Santa Clarita valley & resulting champions of CIF. I have assisted in placing 20 kids, in this last year alone on the high school team. I was ranked #1 at West Ranch high school in 2011 and during the same year ranked as the #2 doubles in the Valley with a 22-1 win/loss ratio.
I was pupiled under head coach of UCLA Billy Martin former top 200 player. I believe tennis is truly a unique sport where an individual must utilize their racket as an extension of their body. My true inspiration in life is to avail in every individual’s confidence by how quickly they can improve in their game with my guidance.
Teaching Style
I believe all sports are connected which is why I use similar motions from other sports to develop strokes in the fundamentals of tennis. I specialize specifically in finding shots that bring you out of your comfort zone and teach you how to excel in different styles of playing. My drills do not concentrate on physical ability, but rather I strive to teach the students about shot selection, awareness and playing smart. My teachings are very specific in nature and I believe unmatched in technique.

I have one lesson left and overall have I had a very good experience learning from Evan. The goal for me in taking lessons was to primarily improving my forehand...and work a little on my serve if possible. And I can say up front that my expectations for improvement were definitely exceeded. Evan was knowledgeable, patient and easy to understand. He really helped improve my game.
Evan has been patient and great with my kids. He also has a good teaching technique and I'm starting to see progress.
Evan, did a a hour session where he reviewed forehand and backhand for my daughter who is a beginner. He really explained the strokes and strategies to help master them. He is very positive and encouraging. My daughter seemed to really enjoy the lesson. I would recommend Evan as a coach!
