About Me

My name is Eugenio, I am 37 years old and I am from Mexico City, Mexico. I earned a tennis scholarship at Missouri Valley College and graduated in 2008 with a bachelors degree in business administration. I had been playing USTA mens open tournaments and future tournaments. My best ranking was top 20 in the state of Texas for years. I have been teaching for 18 years in Houston, TX. I love what I do. My primary focus is to help kids, high school students and adults to learn the right technique and form that they need and improve their game to become good tennis players.

Teaching Style

I start my lessons usually with a stretch, warmup and then get started. I base the lesson depending on what the customer would like to improve on, whether that be technique, ground strokes, serves consistency, footwork or conditioning. I teach all levels, beginners, intermediate and advanced tennis players welcome.

Lesson starts with a quick stretch. Next some drills to pinpoint areas that Eugenio notices are in need of attention, followed by drills to strengthen those areas. After two lessons, I have already noticed an improvement. Eugenio's knowledge and eye are meeting my expectations precisely.

My learning experience with Eugenio has been great. I had never played tennis, but now thanks to him I wanna practice all the time. Not only he is very patient and friendly, but also very motivated to students and that is a very good mix. I feel very at ease around him and during the time of our lessons. Moreover, Eugenio is so awesome that he helps me to shake my frustrations out when I'm not doing a good job and he helps me focus on one shot at a time. He likes to work on making you consistent and perfect one technique, before moving towards another. I have a great experience on court and am very glad I have Eugenio to share that experience with.
