About Me
Hi, my name is Eric. I was a college player at Trinity University in San Antonio and competed in USTA tournaments state-wide. I play now just recreationally.
I started teaching part-time over 10 years ago while in college. My experience ranges from young children to adults and from beginners to college level players. I have coached at a tennis academy, worked with private coaches, and given private lessons to individuals and groups.
Teaching Style
The lessons and teaching methods are entirely dependent on the player's goals. Some individuals play for exercise or fun and others play competitive tournaments, leagues, or school teams. Lessons could focus on fundamentals and basics if the student is learning the game. More advanced students would likely focus on playing points or improving weaknesses.

Eric is exceptionally gifted at tailoring his coaching to my exact needs. He doesn’t apply some rote method but takes the time to Taylor the lesson time to my needs and preferences. Great coach

Eric is a great coach. He is very flexible with my schedule and he is enthusiastic and fun to hit with, not to mention he is exceptional at feeding balls and setting up drills geared towards specific aspects of the game.
I've been hitting around with friends for a couple of years, but before I started lessons with Eric, I had no training in the proper mechanics of basic shots. After one lesson, my best opponent noticed a huge change in the power of my backhand and spin on my forehand. After 6 lessons, my shots are far more consistent. Through his thoughtful attention to my swing, Eric has helped me corrects some bad habits that I developed by playing on my own. Eric is extremely patient, focused, and deliberate with each lesson. He was responsive to the areas where I wanted to focus and has catered his lessons to my particular goals, namely, hitting with more spin and consistency on the basic ground strokes. I look forward to our future lessons!

Yes, I can travel up to 20 miles to a tennis court in your area.
