About Me
Elsio Eybrecht was born and raised on the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten Dutch West Indies, grew up between the Caribbean, the Netherlands and Florida. Elsio mentored under his uncle former top 50 Pro Player in the world then went on and studied Tennis Management, Adult and Junior Tennis Development & Coaching at the Van Der Meer Tennis University on Hilton Head, South Carolina where he mentored directly under Dennis Van Der Meer before moving to California. Elsio then mentored under USPTA and PTR Master Professional Ken Dehart for over 10 years in the San Francisco South Bay area.
As a competitive, high-performance athlete, Elsio qualified for the PTR Open in February 2000 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He shortly after received International Tennis Foundation IPIN number, allowing him to compete in the professional tennis circuit.
Elsio is a PTR Teaching Professional, a USTA High-Performance Coach, USTA & NFHS High School Coach, USTA 10 & Under Coach, and a USRSA Certified Stringer. Elsio has also further continued to expand his teaching credentials with the Ken DeHart Competitive Edge System, the Tony Nadal Coaching Method and the Great Base Tennis System. Elsio is a Billie Jean King’s Eye Coach “Tennis in the Schools & Brain Training System” Ambassador also a Chek Institute Holistic Life Coach and Guided Meditation Coach.
As a USTA Tournament Director, Elsio created junior and adult tennis tournaments in the Greater San Francisco Bay area under his Tao of Tennis brand. These tournaments drew competitors from around the bay area and the greater California region, these events were sponsored by Team Babolat, a high-end French tennis, badminton, and squash equipment brand.
When not focusing on his “Tennis Career”, Elsio can be found building out his personal brand through which he offers 1-on-1 transformational life coaching, guided meditations, keynote speaking, and wellness retreats. Under this umbrella, Elsio recently launched ‘Swimming in the Ocean of Consciousness’, a trademarked podcast, book series, and video course.
Teaching Style
I am a master at error detection and correction and have the ability to break down movements that are easy to understand and add to your game. I will lead you into new ways of thinking on the tennis court, and will also help you to discover your inner-self and your true tennis warrior. I will also further introduce you to new ways of seeing tennis, you will discover that it is a sport of a lifetime and that through movement, you too can play a leading edge game of tennis, you can play competitive edge tennis, you will discover the art of playing the ball and not your opponent.

Working with Elsio is great. He's a really good coach and focuses on the adjustments that will help the most and really makes it fun. I really like his approach to helping me improve. He really goes the extra mile with his clients whether it's extra gatorade or time.

I hired Elsio as a tennis instructor for my son who is 12 years old. I was very impressed with his skill, patience and ability to not only teach the game of tennis but make it enjoyable for my son and the other children. I would definitely recommend Elsio for both children and adults who are interested in learning tennis
My 11 year old son absolutely loves working with Elsio. Elsio challenges him to improve his game at each lesson. We are impressed with the instant feedback he gives to continue to improve his swing and accuracy. He is not the kickback coach just letting the kids hand out and goof around - he is there to coach for results.

Coach Eybrecht and his team are exceptionally dedicated and bring a wealth of talent and experience. His emphasis on footwork and strategy (in my case) was not the easy way for me, but it's definitely what I needed!
