About Me
I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old and competed in my first tournament when I was 10. I continued playing USTA tournaments regularly as well as playing for my local high school team before eventually playing at Fairmont State University for 2 years. I withdrew from school and tried my luck on the ITF World tennis tour for about 8 months before deciding teaching was where I fit best in the tennis world. I previously taught for 3 years at a few different clubs as well as independently and have always gotten great feedback from clients. I have a vast knowledge of the game and great people skills that allow me to effectively communicate with my students and tailor my teaching style towards them.
Teaching Style
I emphasize quality over quantity and always focus on what the student did right in a given swing, drill, or shot. I believe focusing on what the student did right during a drill, even if it was their best, is a great way to keep the student motivated and focused. For an hour lesson, typically I tend to structure my lessons with 15-25 minutes of hitting and feedback, followed by drills and ending with serves and/or a game.

Dillon was an exceptional tennis coach. I've always had a passion for tennis and have been playing recreationally for many years. After just 5 lessons with Dillon my forehand is the best its even been. I can also do a 2 handed backhand. He is the first coach that could show specific improvements like changing my grip positions as well as finding creative ways for a new skill to click easily! I highly recommend him as a coach.
