About Me
Hello! My name is David, and as a former Division 1 player and captain of the Army West Point men's tennis team, I led my team to two NCAA D1 tournament appearances. In my junior career, I was ranked as high as #5 in the nation, was a blue-chip 5-star recruit, and won multiple titles on the ITF circuit. I have victories over current pros Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz. I also won the Colorado 4A State title at #1 Singles as a freshman. As a top recruit in high school, I possess a significant amount of knowledge of the college recruiting process, which I can use to help guide aspiring college players. Lastly, I offer not only tennis instruction but also fitness services for basic strength and conditioning training to help you develop a complete athletic profile.
Teaching Style
My teaching style focuses on a personalized and holistic approach, ensuring that every student not only improves their technical skills but also develops a deeper understanding and love for the game. Here's what you can expect:
Customized Coaching Plans: Each lesson is tailored to the individual needs and goals of the student, whether you're a beginner learning the basics or a competitive player refining advanced techniques.
Positive and Encouraging Environment: I believe in fostering a supportive atmosphere where students feel confident to challenge themselves and celebrate their progress.
Emphasis on Fundamentals: Solid technical foundation is key. I emphasize proper technique, footwork, and consistency to build a strong game from the ground up.
Strategic Play: Beyond strokes, I teach game strategy and mental toughness, helping players think critically and stay focused under pressure.
Fitness Integration: Incorporating fitness and conditioning exercises to improve agility, strength, and overall athletic performance, making sure you are in peak condition to perform your best on the court.
Interactive and Fun: I strive to make every session engaging and enjoyable, mixing drills, games, and match play to keep lessons dynamic and interesting.
With this comprehensive and adaptable teaching style, I aim to help each student unlock their full potential and achieve their tennis goals.
