I’ve had a great experience taking lessons from Daryl! I had never played any tennis before, but he’s a very knowledgeable and patient coach and I feel like I’ve improved really quickly. It’s also very easy to schedule lessons with him and he has great communication.
Daryl is a great coach. He paid a great attention to my stroke (both forehand and backhand) and completely overhauled it. I can say with confidence that it's infinitely better than before. He has an intimate knowledge of biomechanics and put that into very good use in explaining and correcting my posture and stroke. I'd recommend wholeheartedly to anyone of any level.
My experience with Daryl has been nothing but great. He completely transformed my game. His emphasis on and knowledge of biomechanics helped me find a much better swing than I had before. I would highly recommend Daryl to any beginner who wants to be on the right track out of the gate or any seasoned interested in improving their game. Thank you, Daryl !
Coach Daryl is very professional, friendly and patient. He is very clear with his instructions so I know exactly what I need to work on. When my body doesn't follow my head, Daryl always tries to help me through different methods - sometimes by demonstrating the techniques himself, sometimes by adjusting my posture, and sometimes by reminding me to relax and breathe! During my lessons with him, no time is wasted, I play from the start to the end of the lesson, and time goes by very quickly. I feel very fortunate to find Daryl as my tennis coach!
Daryl is a nice and patient coach. I started as a 100% beginner and I have enjoyed learning tennis from him.
Highly recommend! Coach Daryl is knowledgeable about proper techniques and has been very patience and encouraging with getting me to have the right form. He genuinely cares about all his clients and is invested in helping them to get better.
He’s one of the best coaches we have and my kids love him. Hope to see him again when we come back to San Mateo!
Great experience with coach Daryl! I’m getting better and better at tennis skills :)
Daryl's teaching technique is great! He emphasizes on the right technique and makes effort on conscious improvement of style.
I was looking to revive my tennis game after six years where I did not so much as look at my racquet. Daryl's lessons were exactly what I needed to get back on track. He helped me correct my form step-by-step, starting with the essentials and then building upon them. I'm back to a place where I enjoy playing tennis again! Daryl combines technical knowledge with an awesome personality. Lessons are a lot of fun and are targeted towards whatever your tennis goals might be. Would recommend to anyone!
Excellent
I had always wanted to learn how to play tennis and finally signed up with Daryl. He was very positive and extremely patient with me. He always had fun drills/tools for me to practice that were specific to my skill set and encouraged me to be the best I could be on the court. I look forward to working with Daryl again!
I'm a true beginner and Coach Daryl is such a great coach! He is passionate in teaching and has always been patient and encouraging. He also explains the basic techniques very well, which helped me to improve fast!
My 13-year-old son just started his lessons with Darryl. My son was a nervous starter but gained confidence after starting his lessons with him. After just six lessons my son is enjoying the lessons and very enthusiastic about the tennis club in school. As a teacher Darryl is very patient with beginners and gives feedback and helpful insights to improve techniques. Highly recommend Darryl.
Darryl has a very methodical approach to helping me improve-- my stroke has gotten much better in 15 hours of my lessons with him. He is very encouraging and has a good sense of humor.
My two kids, ages 12 and 14, have been coached by Daryl for about a year, working on all strokes, serves, and footwork. Daryl is firm and exacting yet kind and encouraging. He emphasizes good technique, hard work, and concentration. My kids have definitely improved in their playing. I recommend Daryl!
He is a very professional individual. I highly recommend Daryl as he was very patient with my inexperience. Thank you for a great lesson in tennis.
I've learned a ton from Daryl, and my game is hugely better. Daryl is patient, motivating, and passionate about the game and his students. I was touched by his concern and support during my first tournament.
Coach Daryl is observant, supportive, and insightful. He will challenge you to do your best, but will also encourage you along the way. His feedback is specific and helpful, and he will help you hone your technique through drills that focus on real player behavior (not "just for fun" games). I started playing tennis after years of not playing, and my skills improved significantly through his coaching. He truly cares about his students' skills and overall health.
