About Me
Hi!
My name is Daniel and I am a local San Diego Tennis coach with over 14 years of playing experience and over 6 years of teaching experience! My teaching style is different than most of the tennis coaches around the area since I was born and raised in my home country of Austria. I moved to San Diego about a year ago.
I have been coached in some of the best tennis academies in the world both in Austria and Brazil and therefore have insight into what top professional players such as Dominic Thiem are trained like. I found my passion in tennis about 14 years ago and have played competitively for 12 years. One of my former coaches, Brazilian Carlos Kirmayr, was ranked ATP #36.
I am offering fun private tennis lessons, semi-private tennis lessons, group tennis lessons and hitting only sessions for all ages (kids, teens, adults, seniors) and for all skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). So whether you need to work on some specifics like your forehand, backhand, volley, serve, service return, overhead, drop shot, approach shot, footwork, singles strategy or doubles strategy-I would be more than happy to help you out with your tennis game!
I have worked with hundreds of kids throughout different Tennis camps and I can say that I really enjoy it. I've taught all types of levels and have always seen fast improvement in my students.

Teaching Style
I usually start warming up with my students and then proceed to many different drills to polish shots that need to be worked on (Forehand, Backhand, Volleys, Serving, leg work). I also like give my students some time to hit each lesson in a match setting (Tiebreaks or a Match of 3 games).

Excellent instructor. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I could tell right away he was very vested in improving my game. He was very observant and gave me small tweaks to improve my swing but was never overwhelming with them. Very encouraging throughout the session, and overall just made it fun.

He cares for his students, he is very patient and has a great eye for every technical detail. He taught me a lot about the game of Tennis and the right shot selections to make for competitive play.
