About Me
Hi there, I'm Coach Dalton! I am a private tennis coach who has recently moved to the Charlotte area upon graduating from the University of Georgia. During my time at UGA, I was an active member of the club tennis team. I coached privately in and around the encapsulating city of Athens, coaching children as young as 5 and adults as old as 70. But I enjoyed above all coaching for the Athens Academy High School Varsity and Junior Varsity teams; I loved teaching and mentoring kids with great attitudes for the game and life more broadly.
Teaching Style
My teaching style changes depending on the skill level of the player. If starting at a beginner level, I emphasize the abstract concept of the game and the basic fundamentals of proper technique. It is imperative to build a solid foundation upon which to improve further. From there, as we transition to a more intermediate level, I shift to more advanced techniques, ensuring that we master proper strokes, body movement, and footwork, as well as begin to discuss strategy. Finally, at the advanced level, we habitually work on our game and thoroughly explore and practice the court strategies available to players.

Latest Reviews
Dalton is one of the best coaches I have ever had! Not only did he teach me new skills, he fixed the techniques that we wrongly taught to me in the past by other coaches. Other than being a great coach skillfully, he taught me and my doubles partner how to work and move together as one. Dalton made sure that we were engaged in what he was teaching us by using fun games and new innovation drills that worked us into having a good technical forehands and backhands that became habitual therefore making us just better players overall!
Dalton was my tennis coach for 3 years, and I absolutely loved him. He helped me with my backhand and putting top spin on my forehand! He always pushed me to do better, and he helped me grow so much as a player. My topspin has improved greatly! He was always so patient and supportive when teaching me new skills.
