About Me

Hi, my name is Cheyenne. Looking for some lessons for yourself or for your kids? Someone to play a match with? Or just looking to get some exercise in your day? You can get all the above right here. My name is Cheyenne; I'm a competitive tennis player looking to offer my experience and knowledge to other players in the area. I'm from Florida, and I've been competing for 15 years and have secured multiple national and international titles while on the junior tour, in addition to wins over current WTA professionals and playing Division I tennis at Cornell University. I am interested in giving lessons, playing matches, or serving as a hitting partner for players of all ages - beginner, high school, competitive player, adults

Teaching Style

My teaching philosophy is that I am here for my client. Whether it's learning a new shot or playing a match I'm here for all of it. I want them to improve with each lesson while also enjoying it.

I am very big on making comments after each shot - I am very detailed in my explanations and like to point out when a shot was hit very well or if something needs to be fixed. I am very big on feedback instead of just letting my clients hit without much commenting. I am a very positive coach and emphasize the importance of positive reinforcement with my clients.

My teaching style always includes asking my client what they wish to work on for the lesson, and if there is nothing specific, we will start off with groundstrokes, volleys, and end with serves. If there is something specific that they want to work on, we will solely focus on perfecting that shot in detail.

Kind. Knowledgeable. Motivating. Is how I would like to describe Cheyenne. Her professional experience combined with her uniquely kind and motivating teaching methods left me impressed. Being trained by such an energized, young but without a doubt knowledgeable coach definitely is something I appreciate the most.
On a side note I would like to mention that because of Cheyenne my friends soon asked me how I improved so much so quickly. Now, we all share her as a coach....

Cheyenne's knowledge is extebsive with her background in tennis. She makes the lesson interesting and fun. She can demonstrate well and is patient. I tell her she would be a great mentor for junior players as well as adults. I recommend her to anyone looking to improve their game.

Cheyenne is the most positive coach I have had. She has coached me for 6 years and has helped me grow both as a player and person on and off the court. She pays a lot of attention to detail and will make you're always doing things correctly. She makes my lessons very enjoyable and isn't just my coach, but also my friend. She has a lot of experience and it shows through the way she coaches. I am improved so much since I first started. She's the best coach I ever had and I definitely recommend her.

I am from England and met Cheyenne here in the states. I used to play back home for fun and I recently started hitting with her again. She makes the lessons very enjoyable and customizes each lesson to what I want to work on. By far my favorite coach I have had.

My daughter and I have been taking lessons with Cheyenne for a few years. I had open heart surgery about a year ago and ever since then I have played with Cheyenne consistently a few times a week to help with my cardiovascular activity. Being in the medical field, she understands when to push me during our lessons or take it slow. Very positive and understanding coach. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a good hitting partner.

Cheyenne is a very good coach. I am in my late 70's and enjoy to play with her just for the exercise. She is a very nice young lady with lots of experience.

I am in my 40's and recently started taking lessons with Cheyenne a few months ago. I have some experience playing tennis in my high school days, but she has helped me improve my serve dramatically. She also worked on improving my consistency from the baseline and I can now rally with her. She is very patient and wants to improve her clients. I also enjoy playing with her 4x a week for the exercise - she makes drills exciting and enjoyable. I definitely recommend her for anyone that needs lessons to improve their game or just wants to hit.

I have been taking lessons with Cheyenne for about 5 years now. She is the most positive coach I have ever worked with. I started out as a very beginner and she has helped my game tremendously throughout middle school, and I then was able to secure a spot on my high school team. She is very detail-oriented and encourages you when you make a good shot, but also gives great feedback when something needs to be fixed. I highly recommend her to anyone trying to improve their game!
